Care alongside your oncology treatment.

Cancer treatment is hard on the body. Fatigue, nausea, immune depletion, weight changes, and the physical and emotional toll of surgery, chemotherapy, or radiation are real, and they deserve discussion with your care team.

That’s where naturopathic care comes in. Not to replace your oncologist or change your treatment plan, but to support your body through it. We work alongside your medical team, discussing concerns such as: nutrition, energy, immune support, and recovery between treatments.

How we help.

Cancer treatment changes how your body absorbs nutrients, what foods you can tolerate, and what your body needs to heal. We build nutrition plans tailored to where you are in treatment — supporting energy, immune function, and recovery while taking your oncology plan and potential treatment interactions into account.

IV therapy delivers vitamins and minerals directly into the bloodstream. Before treatment, we review your health history and current medications and discuss whether the proposed treatment is appropriate for you, including potential risks and alternatives.

Carefully selected herbs and supplements may be considered for specific symptoms or nutritional needs, but some can interact with cancer treatment. Every recommendation is screened for interactions with chemotherapy, radiation, or other medications you’re taking — never added blindly.

Acupuncture is used to support patients managing common treatment side effects, including nausea, fatigue, hot flashes, and pain. It has been studied extensively in oncology care.

Stress, sleep, and the emotional weight of a cancer diagnosis affect recovery in ways that are easy to underestimate. We work with you on the lifestyle factors that support both your body and your wellbeing through treatment and beyond.

We’re happy to communicate with your oncologist or family doctor and coordinate care where appropriate. Naturopathic medicine works best as part of a team, not in isolation.

Where your care begins.

Most patients arrive at our door with something unresolved. Sometimes it's been years, sometimes it's brand new. Whatever you're working with, we're here to help.

When you book with us, we'll talk through what's been going on, what you've tried, and what you're hoping for. From there, we'll build the right plan together — whether that's care I continue with you, or care coordinated with another practitioner on our team.

Frequently Asked Questions

This is the most important question, and we take it seriously. Everything we recommend is screened for interactions with your active treatment. We don’t add supplements or therapies blindly — we work carefully around your oncology plan, and we’re glad to coordinate directly with your oncologist to review compatibility and potential risks.

Always alongside. Adjunctive care means supporting you through conventional treatment, not replacing it. We’re happy to communicate with your oncology team and coordinate care so everyone is working from the same page.

Either works, and both are valuable. Some patients come to us early to prepare their body and manage side effects through treatment. Others come once active treatment ends, to support recovery and rebuild. Wherever you are in the process, we can help.

Often, yes. Naturopathic care can help with several common treatment side effects — fatigue, nausea, appetite loss, immune depletion, and the physical toll of treatment. We’ll focus on what’s most affecting you, always within the bounds of what’s safe alongside your treatment.

Naturopathic visits are covered by most extended health plans in BC. Coverage for individual services varies by provider. We’ll go over costs with you, and we understand that affordability matters — especially during an already difficult time.
