Why these matter.

Naturopathic medicine isn’t a single therapy. It’s a clinical framework that draws on whichever modalities best fit what a patient is working with — sometimes one, often several together.

Each is offered as part of a broader treatment plan, or in some cases as a standalone service. If you’re not sure which is right for you, that’s exactly what your first visit is for.

Bowen therapy is a gentle, highly focused soft tissue treatment that targets specific muscles, nerves, and tendons associated with particular conditions. Unlike general massage, it works precisely — using small, deliberate movements at specific points to trigger the body’s own response.

People seek Bowen therapy for concerns ranging from migraines and sciatica to asthma, digestive disorders, and chronic fatigue. It’s suitable for patients of all ages, including infants and the elderly, and is particularly useful for people who don’t tolerate more aggressive bodywork.

Naturopathic herbal medicine draws on hundreds of plants with documented therapeutic effects. Used precisely, herbs can support hormonal balance, reduce inflammation, support digestion, calm the nervous system, and address dozens of other clinical needs.

We also use targeted supplements, vitamins, and minerals where deficiencies have been identified or where specific clinical support is needed. Every recommendation is based on what your body actually needs — not a generic protocol.

Our in-clinic dispensary carries a curated selection of high-quality supplements, Chinese herbs, and botanical tinctures, available as part of your treatment plan or for ongoing maintenance.

How you feel emotionally and how your body functions aren’t separate. Stress, sleep, anxiety, and low mood show up in your hormones, your gut, your immune system, and your energy levels. Treating the symptom without addressing the lifestyle drivers usually doesn’t last.

Lifestyle counselling looks at the bigger picture — sleep, stress, movement, environment, relationships, and the daily habits that either support or undermine your wellbeing over time. We work with you on practical, sustainable strategies, not generic advice.

This is also where mental and emotional wellbeing fits into our care. Anxiety, burnout, sleep disruption, and low mood are addressed alongside the physical drivers that contribute to them — hormones, nutrition, gut health, and nervous system regulation.

Used for: chronic stress and burnout, sleep disruption, anxiety with physical drivers, low mood connected to hormones or nutrition, lifestyle factors driving chronic conditions, behaviour change and habit support.

What you eat affects everything — energy, digestion, mood, hormones, immune function, inflammation, recovery. Clinical nutrition isn’t generic dietary advice. It’s a tailored assessment of how your current diet is supporting or working against your specific health goals, followed by a plan that’s actually doable.

We work with patients across the full range — anti-inflammatory protocols for autoimmune conditions, gut-supportive plans for IBS, hormone-supportive nutrition for perimenopause, athletic performance nutrition, weight management, post-treatment recovery.

Registered massage therapy at Garibaldi is offered by Dr. Jennifer Moss, who is licensed in BC as both a naturopathic doctor and a registered massage therapist. That dual qualification is rare in the Sea to Sky — it means you get skilled, targeted massage therapy from someone who’s also asking bigger questions about what’s contributing to your body’s state.

Her style includes myofascial release, deep tissue therapy, trigger point release, sports massage, and pre and postnatal massage. Sessions can be booked as standalone massage appointments or integrated into a broader naturopathic treatment plan.

Used for: chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain, sports injuries, muscle tension and trigger points, pre and postnatal discomfort, post-surgical recovery, stress and sleep disruption.

Where your care begins.

Most patients arrive at our door with something unresolved. Sometimes it's been years, sometimes it's brand new. Whatever you're working with, we're here to help.

When you book with us, we'll talk through what's been going on, what you've tried, and what you're hoping for. From there, we'll build the right plan together — whether that's care I continue with you, or care coordinated with another practitioner on our team.

Frequently Asked Questions

Some can be booked directly — Registered Massage Therapy and Bowen Therapy in particular are commonly booked as standalone sessions. Others — like clinical nutrition or lifestyle counselling — work best as part of a broader naturopathic care plan. If you’re not sure, give us a call.

Coverage varies by modality and by provider. Registered Massage Therapy is covered by most extended health plans. Naturopathic visits (which include nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle counselling) are also typically covered. We recommend checking your plan to confirm.

Yes. These modalities work well alongside conventional medical care, physiotherapy, mental health support, and other treatments. We’re happy to coordinate with other practitioners on your care team where appropriate.
